Overview
The Graduation Requirements Report provides an overview of student progress towards satisfying the graduation requirements set up in the student's assigned graduation program.
If the selected school does not contain grade 12, the Graduation Requirements Report will be titled Promotion Requirements Report.
Multiple Students Graduation Requirements Report
In the Grades menu, click Graduation Requirements Report.
On the Search screen, enter search criteria to locate the group of students. Click More Search Options to access search options based on student fields. To see an overview of all students, leave the search box empty and click Search.
At the top of the report, Course History is selected by default. When Course History is selected, the report considers each student's full course history when displaying the progress the student has made towards fulfilling the graduation requirements assigned to his/her graduation program.
Select the graduation program to view from the pull-down.
The report displays students who are assigned to the selected graduation program and have credits remaining to graduate. If a student has completed all of his/her graduation requirements, he or she will not appear on the report. Each graduation subject is listed in its own column, along with the number of required credits in parentheses. A green check mark in a column indicates the student has fulfilled the credit requirements for the graduation subject. A green check mark with an hourglass indicates the student has one or multiple courses in progress that fulfill the requirement. Upon passing the course(s), the requirement will be fulfilled. A number value indicates the number of credits that remain to be taken by the student in order to fulfill the requirement.
Hover your mouse over a check mark or credit field to view the course title, the grade the student received, the number of credits, the term for completed courses, and the content term (if applicable). The course title, the number of credits, the term, and the content term (if applicable) displays for enrolled courses.
Scroll to the right to view the columns for state assessments, EOC requirements, Scholar and Industry Scholar Designation, and Biliteracy Gold and Silver. If a student has met an assessment or EOC requirement, the pass date displays in the column. Assessments marked as waived in the ESE Test Waiver field now automatically display as "Waived" in the List view. Districts that want waived indicators to appear on the individual student view must configure the corresponding Student Fields and mark them as "Show on Student Grades." This update ensures consistent reporting of ESE test waivers across both list and individual student views.
You can filter on the completion of a requirement using the filter rules as follows:
- N - for in-progress
- !* - for students not enrolled in course meeting the requirement
- Y - for students who have completed the requirement
Individual Student's Graduation Requirements Report
Click a student's name to view the report for the individual student.
The report displays each graduation requirement, the number of credits required to graduate, the credits remaining to be taken, and the currently enrolled credits. At the top of the report, additional information is displayed, including the student's GPA, class rank, cohort year, total credits, reading and math assessment statuses, and EOC assessment statuses.
At the bottom of the screen, Industry Scholar Designation Requirements, Scholar Designation Requirements, and Biliteracy Seal, and Florida Seal of Fine Arts Program Requirements are listed, along with the completion status. (see diploma designation logic below for detailed explanation)
Hover your mouse over a check mark or credit field in the graduation requirements section to view the course title, the grade the student received, the number of credits, the term for completed courses, and the content term (if applicable). The course title, the number of credits, the term, and the content term (if applicable) displays for enrolled courses.
A "W" on the report indicates the credits were earned through a waiver.

Dual Enrollment: PE with Integration of Health
- The Dual Enrollment Equivalency List states, "Physical Education courses that can be offered for dual enrollment are limited to those that satisfy the personal fitness requirement." This is due to statutory language associated with the dual enrollment program that states that courses that teach physical activity/skills do not qualify.
Diploma Designation Logic
Industry Scholar

Note: no hourglass icon shows if the student is just enrolled in AICE, AP or IB because the student must also pass the associated exam.
Note: There is a system preference allowing districts in Florida to determine whether two 0.5-credit college-level math courses may be combined to fulfill the 1-credit requirement for this report. When the preference "Any College, Credit-bearing Mathematics Course (AP/IB/AICE/DE) -- Allow two 0.5 credits to equal 1 credit for Scholar Designation" is enabled, eligible AP, IB, AICE, or Dual Enrollment math courses can be combined to satisfy the requirement. When disabled, the report continues using the existing logic requiring a single 1.0-credit course.

Florida Seal of Fine Arts Program Requirements
Here is how FOCUS determines students completion of the Florida Seal of Fine Arts Program. First, the student must have a Fine Arts Discipline Track assigned on the Graduation screen in FOCUS. At the top of the Fine Arts Designation section, you will see the student's selected track for quick visibility.
Student must meet the following:
| Requirement | Logic |
| Successfully completed at least three year-long courses in dance, music, theatre or the visual arts with a grade of “A” or higher in each course. Earned three sequential course credits in dance, music, theatre or the visual arts courses with a grade of “A” or higher in each course. | Student must have three credits with course history grades for courses that have the same "Fine Arts Disc." on the Course Catalog. Each 1 credit must belong to an individual course. For example, a half credit of a course does not count since it must be a year long course. The "Fine Arts Disc." on the completed courses must match the student’s selected Fine Arts Discipline Track. |
AND students must also meet two of the following:
| Requirement | Logic |
| Successfully completed a fine arts International Baccalaureate, Advanced International Certificate of Education, advanced placement, dual enrollment, or honors course in the subjects listed in the paragraph above with a grade “B” or higher. | Course must appear in course history with the Fine Arts indicator. Grade earned must be an "A" or "B." Credits earned must meet the maximum credit requirement for the corresponding course from the state Course Code Directory. In the Catalog the course must have IB, AP, or AICE checked or on the grade have a Dual Enrollment Institution Type of A B C or D or have the "H - Honors" course flag. |
| Participated in a district or statewide organization’s juried event as a selected student participant for two or more years. |
Use the field "Seal of Fine Arts Additional Requirements" to indicate students who have met these additional requirements. Once this is flagged in the field, the requirement met indicators appear in the Graduation Requirements report. |
| Recorded at least 25 volunteer hours of arts-related community service in his or her community and presents a comprehensive presentation on his or her experiences. | |
| Meets the requirements of a portfolio-based program identifying the student as an exemplary practitioner of the fine arts. | |
| Receives district, state or national recognition for the creation and submission of an original work of art. An original work of art is one created by the student. |
An additional section has been added to the bottom of criteria which indicates “Fine Arts Courses Not Part of Discipline Track” to help guidance counselors. This displays additional A-graded Fine Arts courses that do not align with the student’s declared track. This is helpful in case the track has not been yet filled in or one track was selected but it may have changed.
